Of equal importance to my professional references are the notes and messages that I have received from my former students. They serve as a reflection of the relationships that I have built with my students, which are of the utmost importance to me. They are also pleasant reminders of my time spent with these unique and wonderful individuals, many of whom I still keep in touch with.
During my first internship at Keswick Ridge School, I taught a class of 46 students in a multi-age classroom comprised of grades 6, 7 and 8 students. On my final day, after seven weeks spent with them, they had a surprise farewell party and presented me with homemade cards and messages, which are pictured below.
For more than a year, I taught kindergarten and after-school elementary programs in South Korea. This was one of the richest experiences of my life, and it played a fundamental role in my decision to pursue my Education degree. I am forever indebted to my students, from whom I learned so much. On my last day at the private school where I worked, I was presented with an envelope of letters from my kindergarten students, two samples of which you will find below.
